A BSN'14 graduate, Miriam Witt, is now working towards her Master of Nursing at UWB! Witt's goals and passions were heavily influenced by her volunteer trip to Kenya and experiences teaching clinical nursing as an adjunct instructor at Skagit Valley College.

Dr. Niitsu participated in the American Psychiatric Nurses Association 33rd annual conference. The conference, focusing on Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses: The Whole Health Connection, included 300 sessions and poster presentations on topics related to psychiatric-mental health nursing.

Students and faculty benefit from partnerships in teaching and research. The partnership between Drs. Ezeonwu and Kondo, gives students the opportunity to experience global immersion programs and compare healthcare education and systems in Japan and the United States. Faculty are able to work on international comparative research and engage students on campuses worldwide.
