Ben Gardner and Ron Krabill Receive UW Global Innovation Fund Grant

IAS faculty members Ben Gardner and Ron Krabill received a UW Global Innovation Fund grant to support their upcoming study abroad exploration seminar “Critical perspectives on ecotourism in Tanzania.” The grant will enable Tanzanian students to participate alongside UW students in studying grassroots environmental activism and community conservation in Tanzania.

Joshua Heim Becomes Arts Program Manager for the City of Bellevue

Joshua Heim (’10, MA in Cultural Studies) has accepted a position at the City of Bellevue as their Arts Program Manager. In this capacity, he will manage cultural planning, grant making, public art programs, and serve as staff liaison to the Bellevue Arts Commission.

Kari Lerum Publishes in Archives of Sexual Behavior

IAS faculty member Kari Lerum is the lead author of a commentary published in Archives of Sexual Behavior. The article, entitled: “The Power of (But Not In?) Sexual Configurations Theory” is an invited commentary on a new model (Sexual Configurations Theory) recently published in the journal.
