Welcome to the UWB Counseling Center

The Counseling Center is open Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Many students have requested information about  recent immigration executive order and the implications for them or their family members. UW is providing the latest information here: Executive order on immigration.

The Counseling Center staff provides numerous services to meet the needs of students, parents, faculty, and staff.

•    Counseling Services: Confidential, short-term counseling is available to enrolled UWB students free of charge.  We offer same day crisis appointments, individual counseling, group counseling and couples counseling.

•    Workshops and Community Intervention: Workshops and skills building classes are offered to increase students’ knowledge, skills, and self-awareness to enhance your ability to effectively cope with problems in every-day-living.

•    Consultation Services: Individual consultations with parents, faculty, and staff who are concerned about a student and students who are concerned about a fellow UWB student.

We look forward to meeting you.

Rosemary E. Simmons, Ph.D.

Counseling Center Director
