Are you already enrolled in a major at UW Bothell?

Students not admitted to UW Bothell are encouraged to meet with an Admissions Advisor

Meet with a Pre-Major Advisor

Who is my advisor?

Pre-Major students are assigned an advisor based on academic areas of interest. Check Navigate to see who your Pre-Major Advisor is. Once admitted to a major, students will meet with their major advisor.

Need fast advising support?

During peak registration times (first week of the quarter and Registration Period 1) the Pre-Major Advisors become very busy and Pre-Major students may have to wait two weeks or longer to get an advising appointment. Drop-in advising can help you see an Advisor right away!

Drop-In Advising

Pre-Major students can view drop-in advising times through Navigate. Login with your UW NetID and follow the steps to schedule an appointment, when you get to the screen shown below, look for the gold bar, then click “View Drop-in Times.”

If your advisor is available when you login, click the button to Drop-in Online. If your advisor is not available, you will see your advisor’s drop-in schedule so you can visit again later.

Drop-in advising appointments are generally 10 minutes or less. Students will be placed in a virtual waiting room until their individual meeting officially begins. Students will meet their advisor in the order in which they joined the waiting room. If you leave the waiting room, you will lose your place in the drop-in advising line!

Meet with a Pre-Health Advisor

UW Bothell students pursuing health professions such as: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, etc. may schedule an appointment with the Pre-Health Advisor using this link: Pre-Health Advising Appointment. Pre-Health Advising is available through Career Services and provides support for students in the areas of exploring health careers, preparing for health careers (internships/job shadowing), and applying for careers/graduate programs in health (application review, test preparation, personal statements, letters of recommendation).

Current UW Bothell students have two options for connecting with academic advisors for help with degree options, degree requirements, and course sequencing.

  1. Pre-major students:  If you are not yet in a major and have general advising questions, please contact Pre-Major Advising at uwbadvis@uw.edu
  2. Students in majors:  If you have already been accepted to a major, please contact the advisor for your program. Advisor contact information can be found under department's websites:   https://www.uwb.edu/degrees
