Honoring LETI's Contributions to Community Based Learning

letiCommunity-Based Learning, or CBLR, allows collaboration between the University and our community.  These partnerships prepare students to address critical societal issues.  Our School has honored LETI (Latino Educational Training Institute) for enhancing our students' educational experiences through CBLR.

Team Guatemala Video Available

team guatemala Dr. Mabel Ezeonwu, Associate Professor in the School of Nursing & Health Studies, led 18 UW Bothell students on a two week trip to Guatemala.  The students held one day clinics and learned about the challenges of providing health care in resource-poor settings.

Alum, Faculty, and VA Collaborate on Article for the AJN

Andrea KovaleskyAlum Denise Eckerlin (BSN '14), faculty member Andrea Kovalesky, and community partner Matthew Jakupcak co-authored an article to be published in the September 2016 American Journal of Nursing.  Kovalesky cited the "interdisciplinary nature of UWB" as contributing to the appearance of the article.

Inaugural Swedish MN Cohort Begins Autumn 2016

MN Class of 2016Our Masters of Nursing program will launch a new off-site cohort this autumn featuring hybrid course delivery.  The Swedish cohort will focus on executive leadership for experienced nurse managers.  The program coursework was created collaboratively and includes elements from the School of Business and Computing & Software.

Justin Gill, RN to BSN, Pursues DNP at Yale

Justin Gill, who earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2013 at University of Washington Bothell, is now a student in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at the Yale School of Nursing.
