Campus operations on Nov. 29 – faculty and staff
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a winter storm watch on Nov. 29. Snow is expected to start accumulating on the streets by 3 p.m. The projected amount of snow accumulation is 4" to 8". The Snohomish/King County border is expected to receive the most impact. The safety of our campus community is paramount, so in light of this information we will suspend UW Bothell/Cascadia College campus operations at 1 p.m. today, Nov. 29.

Today is the Great Washington Shakeout earthquake drill. In the event of an earthquake, remember to DROP, COVER AND HOLD ON. As part of the statewide drill, UW Bothell is conducting a test of all emergency communications tools. UW Bothell/Cascadia College Alert Authorities are searching for the driver of a stolen vehicle partially blocking Campus Way NE. Report any suspicious activity to 911.

Suspended operations Dec. 27
Due to snow and ice on campus and in the region, UW Bothell will suspend operations on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021. This means all on-campus operations are suspended. Non-essential personnel should plan to work remotely as previously scheduled for the week of Dec. 27-30. All services will continue to be offered online.

AWS outage
UPDATE Dec. 8. ALL CLEAR. The AWS outage is resolved and services have been restored. Amazon Web Services is experiencing a major outage which is affecting many services on campus, including Canvas and Panopto. The outage also affects our emergency communications. Omnilert (the platform that runs UW Alert) has warned that service interruptions are possible.

UW Bothell is conducting a test of its emergency communications tools today at noon. Students, faculty and staff will automatically receive emails.
