Our interdisciplinary programs foster critical inquiry, community engagement, and culturally sustaining practices.

Our graduates are equipped to challenge systemic inequities, amplify the voices of students and communities, and promote the thriving futures of all learners.

Our research centers justice and educational transformation for the greater good.

Vision

We envision education as a catalyst for equity, justice, and collective liberation. The School of Educational Studies at UW Bothell strives to lead in inclusive, community-engaged research, teaching, and learning that transforms lives.

Through collaboration, critical reflection, and community-informed advocacy, our students, staff, and faculty reimagine systems, co-create just and sustainable futures rooted in care and hope, and work toward a world where all individuals live in dignity.
