Part-time Lecturer

Mrs. Tracy Fields began her career as an operational meteorologist then began teaching a meteorology college-level course several years ago. Eventually she switched her career path and only teaches at the college level now. She has added a couple of more classes besides Meteorology over the years, including Climate Science and Environmental Science.

Teaching Interests

Climate justice is a very important part of her teaching materials. The science of climate change is a very important subject to teach, and the climate justice part of climate change is just as important, thus Fields does several projects in her classes to enlighten students on the climate justice aspect of climate change. She published a climate justice module in 2023 under SERC (Science Education Research Center) which was accepted by the National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT) in Oct. 2024.

Creative Interests

Fields enjoys reading and playing the piano in her free time.
