Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer, Boeing

Dr. Sungho Lee is a part-time lecturer in the Department of Engineering & Mathematics in the School of STEM at the University of Washington Bothell, where he teaches advanced courses including Computational Physical Modeling, Mechanical System Design and Fluid Mechanics. Outside of academia, Lee serves as a Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer and Boeing Designated Expert (BDE), leading cross-functional teams and simulation initiatives for global fleet operations and sustainment. He brings over 18 years of industry and research experience specializing in discrete event simulation, digital twin development and optimization to solve complex operational challenges. Lee earned his Ph.D. and master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
