Kim Gunnerson
Associate Teaching Professor Emeritus
Dr. Kim Gunnerson’s chemistry career has included work in many chemistry fields. Upon completion of a B.S. in Chemistry at PLU, she was a laboratory chemist for ten years, analyzing for pollutants using GC/MS techniques. This was followed by teaching high school chemistry for seven years. She followed this work by attending University of Washington where she earned her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry with her work using computer simulations to study the classical mechanical dynamics of molecules. She joined the University of Washington Bothell faculty upon completion of her Ph.D. in autumn 2007 and has since retired. She has co-authored a general chemistry laboratory textbook.
