Joey Shapiro Key, Ph.D. (she/her/hers)
Associate Professor
Adjunct Associate Professor, UW Seattle Physics
Dr. Joey Shapiro Key earned a BA in Astrophysics from Williams College and a Ph.D. in Physics from Montana State University. She served as an Education Specialist for the Montana Space Grant Consortium (MSGC) and as a Research Assistant Professor and Director of Education and Outreach at the Center for Gravitational Wave Astronomy (CGWA) at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) before joining UW Bothell. She contributes to data analysis development across the gravitational wave spectrum as a member of the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) Science Team, Laser Interferometer Gravitational wave Observatory (LIGO) Scientific Collaboration, Cosmic Explorer Project, and the North American Nanohertz Observatory for Gravitational waves (NANOGrav) collaboration.
