Professor

Dean, School of STEM

Dr. Jennifer McLoud-Mann joined UW Bothell as an associate professor with tenure in 2013 when the School of STEM was founded. In addition to being a long-serving faculty member, McLoud-Mann has extensive experience in administrative roles and currently serves as dean of the school. Prior to joining UW Bothell, McLoud-Mann served as associate dean for the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Texas at Tyler. During her tenure at UW Bothell, she has worked alongside faculty, staff, external partners, and others in campus leadership to create pathways and opportunities for student success. This work was fueled by her own lived experience as a first-generation Native woman from an economically disadvantaged background. Notable achievements in supporting student success include her work in establishing the first NSF-funded REU site at UW Bothell, collaborating with campus leadership to pilot a centralized peer facilitator program, supporting sustainable success of experiential learning activities through infrastructure building and policy making, and leading efforts to put people first by building community that supports wellbeing.
