Associate Teaching Professor

Dr. David Sommerfeld has been involved chemical education since the mid-90s. His last 11 years have been at UW Bothell where he teaches general and physical chemistry lecture and labs. Before that he was the director of Upper-Division Labs at UMass-Amherst. His primary interests lie at the intersection of chemistry, anthropology and the arts. He earned a Masters in Archaeological and Museum Artifact Conservation at Durham University (England).
