Dr. Afra Mashhadi is a researcher, educator, and advocate for ethics and diversity in Computing. She joined UW Bothell in 2019 and as of Sept 2025, she is a tenured associate professor of in the Department of Computing & Software Systems at the University of Washington Bothell. Mashhadi also serves as a committee member of RAISE and an adjunct associate professor at i-School UW Seattle.
