Convocation

The chancellor’s annual Convocation address is one of University of Washington Bothell’s official ways to welcome you, our new students, into the Husky family.

It is an academic tradition that marks your first steps into our University community and celebrates the beginning of your personal journey at UW Bothell.

To ensure that all new first-year and transfer students — and all members of our community — can watch and listen at a time most convenient for them, the Chancellor’s 2025 Convocation address will be presented via a video, distributed by email to our community on Monday, September 22.
