Welcome to UW Bothell!
The chancellor’s annual Convocation address is one of University of Washington Bothell’s official ways to welcome you, our new students, into the Husky family. It is an academic tradition that marks your first steps into our University community and celebrates the beginning of your personal journey at UW Bothell.

Meta Major Meetups (with Lunch)
Time: 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
Location: Check In at the “W” Statue
Meet with your peer coaches to discuss clubs, courses, and co-curricular opportunities related to your Meta Major. Lunch is provided.
Chancellor Esterberg’s Convocation Address
Time: 1–1:15 p.m.
Location: Sportsfield
Meet Chancellor Kristin G. Esterberg as she welcomes all of our new first-year students to campus.
Playfair (for first-year students only)
Time: 1:30 – 2:45 p.m.
Location: Sportsfield
Join the whole first-year class for fun and games. RSVP requested.
Picture with the Pack
Time: 2:45–3 p.m.
