Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Awards

Dr. Charlie Collins, associate professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences at UW Bothell, has received a 2026 Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award.

Each year, UW Undergraduate Research Symposium presenters are invited to nominate mentors who have made a meaningful impact on their undergraduate research experience. This year’s awardees are recognized for outstanding mentorship and their support of students pursuing research.

In her nomination, senior Adarina Uthman wrote, “His guidance has exceeded mere logistical training: He challenges students to think critically about how structural forces shape psychological well-being while encouraging both rigor and social responsibility.”

Congratulations to Dr. Collins on this recognition and thank you for supporting student research at UW Bothell.
