Registration / Order Form

Registration is a 3 step process:

From May 1 - 18, registration for the 2018 commencement ceremony is open to all eligible students. If you have not submitted a grad application or degree request, please contact the Office of the Registrar first.

Ceremony Conduct Agreement

By participating in commencement you agree to observe the following guidelines during the ceremony.

Commencement is intended to be a festive occasion celebrating the accomplishments of our students. However, it is also ceremonial. Students are expected to remain in their seats during the entire ceremony, unless utilizing the restrooms. Students are required to be in their seats for the address by our commencement speaker. (Restrooms will be closed at this time.) Wandering around the field and visiting with guests in the stands is prohibited. Cell phones are permitted, but out of courtesy for other participants, students are asked to make judicious use of phones and not use them during the formal speaking portions of the ceremony.

It is particularly important that students respect their fellow students and the faculty, administrators and guests who have come to witness and participate in the conferring of their degrees. For this reason, graduates are expected to return to their seats after they walk and remain there until all students have walked and the members of the stage party have exited the stage.

1. Register for Commencement Ceremony

All graduates planning to participate in the Commencement ceremony must register. Graduate students also have the option to register for the Hooding Ceremony. Students will order their cap and gown, tickets, and all other graduation items.

2. Record your name pronunciation

All graduates will have the opportunity to record the pronunciation of their name for name reading accuracy.

3. Provide your preferred name (optional)

The University of Washington Bothell will publish a Commencement program this Spring listing the names, degrees, and honors of graduates from Fall 2017 through Spring 2018, and projected graduates for Summer 2018. Your name and degree will be listed in the program unless you request otherwise.
