Registration / Regalia Ordering
Registration for the Commencement ceremony is open April 8- May 15, 2026.
Students who do not complete their Commencement registration by May 15 may still submit a late registration/RSVP and manage guest tickets after the deadline. However, name pronunciation confirmations and phonetic submissions will close after May 15 and can no longer be updated. These students will need to purchase regalia at Grad Fair and will incur a $20 late fee.
Registration for the 2026 Commencement ceremony will be open to all eligible students from April 8 – May 15, 2026. If you have not submitted a graduation application or degree request, please contact your adviser.
If you have submitted a graduation application or degree request but have not registered for Commencement by the deadline of May 15, 2026, you may visit Grad Fair in person to register and purchase your regalia. A $20 late fee will apply to all late registrations and regalia bundle purchases after the deadline.
Grad Fair is from May 26-27 at the North Creek Event Center. Grad Fair will open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on May 26. It will be open 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. on May 27.
Registration completion instructions:
Only students who meet the requirements listed in the eligibility section of this website will be able to access the Commencement registration form. You will receive the link on April 8 via email.
- Register in Tassel on April 8, using your UW.edu email and student ID.
- Confirm how your name will be displayed and announced at the Ceremony. Important: Name pronunciation submissions and edits close on May 15. After this deadline, pronunciation information can no longer be updated.
- Listen to and approve your name recording. Submit phonetic spelling and/or voice recording if corrections are needed.
- Request your guest e- tickets (which can be found on your Tassel portal). Due to high demand, the Purple ceremony has been reduced to four (4) guest tickets. The guest ticket limit is eight (8) for the Gold Ceremony.
- Upon submission of your registration, follow steps in the confirmation email to order your regalia and donate to your senior class gift. Note: The two options for a regalia this year are Grad Fair Pick-up or Ship to Home.
- Order before April 28, and you can choose to pick up your regalia at Grad Fair May 26 and 27. After April 28, the only ordering option will be ship to home. Ship-to-home ordering will open April 8 and close on May 15.
- You will need to enter your student number and name as it appears on your student records.
- You should consult with your family to determine the number of complimentary tickets you will need. Remember to find out if any of your guests will need ADA accommodations (e.g., wheelchair, mobility impaired, assistive listening devices, sign language interpreter). As a courtesy to others, please do not request more tickets than you can use.
- Payment for regalia and other accessories will be taken online when finalizing your purchase. You may use Visa, MasterCard, a debit card for payment.
- You will have the option to ship your order directly to you. You may also choose to pick up your cap and gown and other graduation items at Grad Fair. Grad Fair will be held at the North Creek Event Center located on the UW Bothell campus. Students are responsible for checking the accuracy of their order at the time of pick-up. Late notification of an error may result in additional costs.
- Third party pick-up at Grad Fair: If you can’t make your pick-up date, you may have someone else pick up your order. They must have your confirmation order and student ID number.
Changes or refunds on Regalia orders
