Students wishing to wear a stole at the commencement ceremony should first check the approved stole list at the bottom of this page. Please send all new stole approval requests in writing to the Office of Ceremonies at the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Guidelines for Stole Request:
Purpose of Stole
Clubs, programs, and/or organizations must provide a purpose for the requested stole to the Office of Ceremonies.
Clubs and/or organization must provide requirements for producing stoles and provide those requirements to the Office of Ceremonies.
Manufacturing of Stole
Clubs and/or organizations must order approved stole from the vendor under contract with the University of Washington Bothell. (At this current time the vendor is Oak Hall Cap and Gown). The approved stole must be the same quality and standard of material as other stoles produced for ceremonies for the University of Washington Bothell. Before full production of stoles commences, a sample stole will need to be approved by the Director of Ceremonies, within the Office of Ceremonies. Stoles ordered from other companies will not be approved to wear at the ceremony.
Distribution and Cost
Distribution of the club, program, and/or organizational stole to eligible graduates will be the sole responsibility of the club or organization. The cost of producing, and payment of any invoice to vendor will be the sole responsibility of said club or organization.

*Approved clubs, programs, and/or organizations are welcome to staff a table at Grad Fair to distribute said stole to eligible graduates. Please email the Office of Ceremonies at email@example.com to reserve a table.
