UW Bothell faculty members are invited to participate in the annual commencement ceremonies. Your participation as faculty is key to the success of the ceremony and you are strongly encouraged to attend!

Frequently Asked Questions
I’m a faculty member at UW Bothell and would like to participate in Commencement. How do I sign up?
Please notify us via firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to participate in either ceremony (1pm or 5pm) with your own regalia.
You can also volunteer to work at the ceremony: taking tickets, checking-in students, escorting students to their seat, etc. The form to volunteer at commencement will be posted here, in the spring each year.
Is there a training?
Faculty are not provided a training but are provided detailed instructions and information prior to the ceremony.
When do I arrive?
Please arrive by 12:00 p.m. for the 1p.m. ceremony and 4 p.m. for the 5 p.m. ceremony. Be sure to allow plenty of time for travel, finding a parking spot, and walking to the arena. Your timeliness is essential to the success of the day. Refreshments will be provided.
Where should I park?
Parking is available in the E1/E18 lot at Husky Stadium.
Where do I go on Commencement Day?
When you arrive on Commencement Day, you will enter through the roll up doors located on the southeast corner of Alaska Airlines Arena. Here you will check in and be directed to the faculty room or stage party room.
Is lunch provided?
Yes, lunch is provided. The faculty room will be located in the arena. Room tbd.
How long is each ceremony?
Each ceremony is expected to be 2 hours long.
What do I wear?
You represent UW Bothell, so please dress appropriately. Business casual attire is preferred. If you are participating in the ceremonies you must wear regalia.

Faculty should arrive by 10:00 a.m. at the North Creek Events Center for robing and line up.
Processional begins at 11:00 a.m. and the ceremony should conclude approximately 12:15 p.m.
