Strategic Plan 2027-2031

Following a year of extensive campus engagement in the strategic planning process during academic year 2025-26, UW Bothell’s Strategic Plan 2027-2031 was introduced at the annual Fall Kick Off for faculty and staff on Sept. 23, 2026, marking an important transition from planning to implementation.

Staff and faculty were invited to review the plan’s four strategic priorities and reflect on how they will contribute to advancing them. Participants considered whether their role would be as a direct contributor leading implementation efforts, an indirect contributor providing important support or as a fan who will support and encourage the work across campus.

Through small group discussions, faculty and staff explored the priorities and strategies, shared questions, and identified key considerations for successful implementation. Read a summary of some of the new ideas and insights that emerged from those conversations (NetID required).

Just as the strategic planning process was built through collective effort, bringing the plan to life will require ongoing collaboration and engagement from the entire campus community.

The success of the Strategic Plan will depend on all our faculty, staff and students, with Cabinet serving as a conduit to share questions and ideas, progress and roadblocks as needed.

Throughout the year, the campus community will receive updates on implementation efforts — as well as opportunities to contribute to this work.
