Prevention, Health & Wellness

WINTER BREAK UPDATES

Prevention, Health & Wellness services will be remote during the winter break. Staff will be checking email intermittently, although may be slower to respond. For basic needs resources and information, please email basicneeds@uw.edu. For information relating to the Violence Prevention and Advocacy services, please email uwbvpa@uw.edu. We look forward to seeing you when we return for winter quarter, beginning Monday January 5.

The mission of Prevention, Health, and Wellness is to advance the holistic well-being of students and the broader campus community through comprehensive, student-centered services. We are committed to fostering a culture of wellness and empowerment by providing direct support, evidence-informed education, professional training, and accessible resources. Grounded in trauma-informed principles, we serve individuals as whole people—supporting their physical, emotional, and social health to promote resilience and success.

PHW is located in UW1-061, and is made up of the student offices of the Health and Wellness Resource Center (HaWRC), and the Violence Prevention and Advocacy (VPA) office. We offer health education, basic needs resource navigation, and confidential advocacy for students, helping them thrive in their time as a member of our campus community.
