You will be responsible for:
Checking your course time and location once it is posted on the online Time Schedule. We recommend that you check the room in advance to be sure it is appropriate for your teaching assignment. If you require an accommodation, please contact the Disability Services Office at dso@uw.edu or 206-543-6450.
Meeting with the Dean or Chair to discuss the course if you have not already done so;
Preparing course materials;
Participating in activities related to the coordination of the course(s) you have been assigned to teach. Such activities may include, but are not limited to, using the common textbook for the course, attending regular course meetings, responding to email sent by the course coordinator and course instructors, and administering common assessments
Teaching in accordance with the published times on the Time Schedule and exam policy;
Holding regular office hours;
Ensuring that necessary materials, including a syllabus, are available to students by the first day of the course;
Providing a copy of your syllabus to the School office no later than the first day of the quarter;
Using appropriate technology for your course, which includes using a @uw.edu e-mail account for all communications with students;
Providing students with the opportunity to evaluate your course using the standard online evaluation process and forms. An Evaluation Coordinator contact you during the quarter to help you with this process.
