Teaching Interests
Dr. Martelino’s teaching interests span nursing and health systems leadership, interprofessional collaboration, workforce development, nursing education, and occupational health and safety. She enjoys helping students connect theory to practice, develop systems-level thinking, and build the skills and confidence to lead in complex health care environments.
Research and Scholarship Interests
Dr. Martelino’s scholarship focuses on strengthening the health workforce through collaborative leadership, organizational climate, and workforce well-being. Drawing on a socioecological perspective, her work explores how individual, organizational, and systems-level factors shape worker health and the environments in which people work. Her scholarship bridges nursing, public health, and health systems to advance healthier workplaces and stronger, more collaborative organizations.
