Research and Scholarship Interests
My research explores the intersection between US agricultural history and the history of industrial chemicals. My current book project, Industrial Chemicals and the Problem of Too Much Food (1945-1985),examines the relationship between the rapid influx of agrochemicals to American farms in the decades after WWII and the government responses to an explosion of surplus food and fiber.
