Lecturer Professional Development Award
The UW Bothell Lecturer Professional Development Award provides resources for eligible lecturers teaching at UW Bothell to pursue professional development opportunities. Awards are available to lecturers who have completed two quarters of teaching at UW Bothell and are expected to teach at least two courses within the next academic year.
Eligible Expenses
Eligible expenses for professional development may include, but are not limited to, workshops focused on pedagogy; professional conferences related to one’s instructional area; access to relevant archives or journals; membership to professional organizations; and scholarly or creative projects connected to one’s teaching. Award funds may not be used to supplement or replace salaries. Recipients must have an active appointment at UW Bothell to apply for, receive, and use award funds. All funding must be expended within six months of receipt.
Application
The Office of Faculty Success will provide up to $1000 per award. Funding decisions are based on the merits of each request. Awards will be distributed evenly across the fall, winter, and spring quarters to ensure availability throughout the academic year. Applications will be reviewed each quarter on a rolling first-come, first-served basis until all funds are exhausted.
