Monthly Newsletter: December 2025

Welcome to Winter 2025!
As we close out 2025, we want to say thank you to our volunteers, interns, and growing community. We couldn’t do this without your contributions and love, and we are grateful for all of you this holiday season.
This month, we’re also excited to announce two updates:
- Amazon Wish List! We’ve launched an Amazon Wish List featuring tools, supplies, and materials that directly support our restoration work, educational programs, and adaptive children’s library. If you’d like to contribute, your support helps sustain hands-on learning and stewardship at the park. Please ship to: 17927 113th Ave NE, Box 358522, Bothell WA 98011.
- 60 Interns in a year and a half! We’ve hosted nearly 60 interns in the last year and a half at CoSEE. Our interns were supported through unique pathways like GIS mapping, invasive species removal, native plant care, cooperation with community partners, and social media and communications. We are so grateful for all the ways our interns have supported our team, improved our programs, and been a warmth to us all in these winter months! If you’d like to learn more about our 2025 cohort or internships with CoSEE, visit our website.
Your donations help grow programs that connect communities and support thriving socio-ecological futures in our region. Thank you for investing in transformative education and socio-ecological resilience.
Recap & December Highlights
Restoration Work Party
This event was unfortunately cancelled due to the atmospheric river, which caused intense flooding and winds in the community. Our thoughts are with those who were affected by the weather; we wish you a warm and safe holiday.
Don’t fret, we’re still looking forward to the Restoration Work Party held in January! We can’t wait to see you there.

Fall Quarter Wrap Up & Finals
The EERC supported two UW Bothell classes in the Fall quarter, with more on the way for Spring! As finals wrap up, CoSEE wishes students a quiet, relaxing, and well-deserved holiday break.
If you are a professor interested in a space to teach a class, please reach out to us at cosee@uw.edu.
Internship Opportunities

Looking ahead to summer!
Summer is arriving faster than you think! We want to allow interns to work with us over the summer break for more fantastic research and community opportunities! If you’re interested, check out our internships website for more information.
