Gender pronouns matter

gender pronouns video

When you meet someone for the first time, you may not know their gender pronouns. They could be she, her, hers. They could also be ze, zir, and zirs.

Gender pronouns are important to us at UW Bothell. Jama Abdirahman (he, him, his) asked some of our campus community members to explain the importance.

In this video, students and staff say it is a matter of respect to ask a person for their gender pronouns. They also say it means the world to them when those are used. Take a look.
