Endowed gift fuels faculty mentorship and student opportunity

Alumna Michelle Gamboa ’05 made one of the largest alumni gifts in UW Bothell history to establish the Sr. Chief Ronald G. Gamboa Endowed UW Bothell STEM Faculty Fellowship. The inaugural award recipient, Dr. Joey Shapiro Key, will use the funding to expand undergraduate research and outreach opportunities for students on the STEM Public Outreach Team. The fellowship celebrates the impact of faculty mentorship and the lasting difference alumni can make for future generations.
