Admission to the Master of Science in Computer Science & Software Engineering requires the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. As a minimum, the M.S. in Computer Science & Software Engineering curriculum expects students to have working knowledge in the following:
High-level of competency in object-oriented programming languages including: C/C++ and Java
Software processes and software development lifecycle models (prescriptive and agile)
System modeling (such as using UML)
Analysis and Design
Applicants with a bachelors degree in other areas can fulfill these prerequisites through the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Software Design & Development.
