UW BOTHELL/CASCADIA COLLEGE CAMPUS MASTER PLAN Public Meeting for Environmental Impact Statement

November 1, 2016

BOTHELL, Wash. – Community members, civic and business leaders, neighbors, and the campus communities of UW Bothell and Cascadia College are invited to attend a scoping meeting for the upcoming Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the 2017 joint campus master plan.

This event marks the first important milestone in the master planning process – a collaboration among the two institutions, the City of Bothell, and the community – that will result in a comprehensive approach to campus development. The EIS will assess the impacts to the environment such as to earth, water, plants and animals, air quality and greenhouse gases, energy and natural resources, environmental health, land and shoreline use, population, housing, aesthetics, recreation, historic/cultural, public services/utilities and transportation. The scoping meeting presents the public an opportunity to gather information and give feedback on preliminary findings and planning variables. UW Bothell and Cascadia will also exhibit early generalized concepts that illustrate different approaches to future development on campus.
