Navigating EAB Navigate

The WaCC is moving from the WCO scheduling system you know and love to EAB Navigate, which you might already be using to make appointments with Career Services and your advisors. As always, if you have questions, please email or call (425) 352-5253.

Here’s how you can navigate Navigate to make an appointment with us:

  1. To make your appointment at the Writing and Communication Center, first login with your UW NetID to Navigate:

  2. On the student home page, select Schedule an Appointment” to the right of your screen.Schedule an Appointment

  3. The system will ask where you would like to schedule your appointment. 

  4. Click on the drop-down, scroll all the way to the bottom, and then select “Tutoring (WaCC & QSC).Schedule an Appointment

  5. Under “Tutoring Type,” select “Writing & Communication Center.” 

    • Then select a “Service,” or your current stage in the writing process.

  6. Click the “Next” button that will appear once you select a service.Schedule an Appointment

  7. Click the drop-down menu for choosing a location. Select Online Video Conference for a Zoom appointment, Phone Conference for a phone call appointment. Note: do not select Writing and Communication Center UW2-124! We are not offering face-to-face appointments at this time. We will change your face-to-face appointment to a virtual conference

  8. Once you select a location, you will have the option to select a staff member to work with. If you have a specific tutor in mind, click on the box and select their name or type their name in. If you don’t care or don’t have a particular tutor in mind, leave it blank. When you’ve made your selection, click next.Schedule an Appointment
  9. Navigate will display the next week of availability; scroll through until you find a date that works for you.​ Schedule an Appointment
  10. Click on the date you’d like and a drop-down menu will list the available appointments for that day. 
  11. ​Select the time that works best for you and click next.Schedule an Appointment
  12. Once you click “Next,” you can review your appointment information. Make sure the date and time of your appointment  are correct, leave an optional note for the tutor, and then click “Confirm Appointment.”Schedule an Appointment

  13. When you click confirm, you will see a confirmation  of your upcoming appointment as well as the Zoom link/phone number you will use for your upcoming appointment. You will also receive an email confirming your appointment information.

If you need to cancel an existing appointment, please follow the following steps:

  1. To cancel your appointment at the Writing and Communication Center, first login with your UW NetID to Navigate:
    • On the student home page, you’ll see “Upcoming Appointments” to the right of your screen. Select the appointment you’d like to cancel.

  2. An appointment manager pop-up will appear.

    • Select “Cancel Appointment” in the bottom left-hand corner.

  3. A “Cancel Appointment” menu will appear.

    1. Under “Cancel Appointment For:” select “Entire Appointment.

    2. Under “Reason:” select the appropriate reason.

    3. Then select “Mark as Cancelled” in the bottom right hand corner.Cancel an Appointment

  4. A confirmation of the cancelled appointment will appear.

    • You should also receive an email confirming the cancellation.Cancel an Appointment


Making Non-student Appointments

Whether you’re working on your application materials to UW Bothell, or recently graduated and preparing for graduate school or the job market we want to help you do the things you want to. 

You can’t make appointments at the WaCC through EAB Navigate directly, but you can contact us and we can make appointments for you. Simply email us at and let us know when you’d like an appointment and if there’s a specific consultant you’d like to work with. Keep in mind that your tutor might not be available when you are. We’ll do our best to accommodate your requests. 

You can also send your work to our Online Conference System, and your consultant will respond within 48 business hours.
