Why I like writing and working at the WaCC:

I'm excited to be helping people enhance their writing abilities while also working to keep my skills up-to-date! Having finished up a communications degree with a minor in creative writing I've spent a lot of my last four years writing. Mostly creative work (with a focus on poetry), but I enjoy writing of any sorts. Research can be really fun, as long as I have some freedom to explore topics I'm interested in. I used my undergraduate degree to try all sorts of different creative outlets and can't wait to use the skills I gained to help others. I have also done some editing help for my friends. Mostly though, I just enjoy writing, editing, and communicating with people, which I'm sure will come in handy at the WaCC.

Other interests:

I spend the majority of my free time doing three things: reading poetry, writing poetry, and going on short trips around Washington with my girlfriend. I also enjoy watching movies, tv shows, and listening to plenty of music.

What I'd like to do in the future:

Realistically I'm not quite sure yet, that's what the masters is for! But, if I had to pick something, I'd say I either want to go into some form of teaching or maybe marketing and creative consulting. Anything I do I want it to be creative, and luckily that can come in many different forms.
