The Quarterly Crossroads is a quarterly newsletter of leadership updates, school highlights, student stories, news and upcoming events for the School of STEM.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring is a season shaped by both celebration and transition, offering us a moment to pause and reflect. Across our community, we are honoring the milestones that mark hard work and growth while anticipating the opportunities ahead. For many of our students, June 14 UW Bothell Commencement<\/a> will mark the completion of an important chapter. Congratulations to our soon to be School of STEM alumni!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a time to celebrate the impact of those journeys. Every milestone reached reflects not only individual dedication, but the collective support of faculty, staff and partners who support our community. Together, we have built an environment where ideas grow into action, learning extends beyond the classroom and our work contributes meaningfully to the communities and industries we serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I invite you to join us on June 12 to see research and accomplishments in action at our spring 2026 STEM Symposium & 3rd Annual Awards Ceremony<\/a>. Alongside our department chairs recognizing outstanding students, I will also have the honor of announcing our next Sr. Chief Ronald G. Gamboa Endowed UW Bothell STEM Faculty Fellow<\/a>, as well as recognizing a mentor and donor whose generosity continues to strengthen our school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we close this academic year, I am grateful for the ways our community continues to make a difference. In this edition, you can explore some of these stories, from students participating in national conferences and excelling in in regional competitions to celebrating the lasting legacy of our emeritus STEM Advisory Board members and recognizing faculty who have earned global research awards and fellowships. Together, these highlights showcase the breadth of achievement, partnership and innovation that defines our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
