The following guidelines stipulate the conditions for satisfactory and academic progress, and the corresponding steps to be taken if academic progress guidelines are not being met. For support through this process or information regarding appeals, please refer to the E&amp;M Graduate Advisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum guidelines for Satisfactory Academic Progress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduate students enrolled at the University of Washington are required to maintain satisfactory academic progress towards their degree. E&amp;M graduate students must meet the following minimum requirement for satisfactory academic progress:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a minimum 2.7 GPA in each graded course used toward requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>maintaining both a cumulative and quarterly GPA of 3.0 or higher,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>completing the degree program of study within six years of first enrolling in any degree requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>when enrolled in thesis credits: earning an \u201cN\u201d grade each quarter the thesis work is continuing satisfactorily to another quarter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students within the Engineering &amp; Mathematics (E&amp;M) Division Graduate Programs are eligible to continue study and research as an enrolled student in their corresponding program as long as they maintain satisfactory performance and progress toward completion of their graduate degree program.
