All application materials should be submitted online and are due by the application deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Select a checklist item to navigate for detailed instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"#application\">Online UW Graduate School application &amp; application fee<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#transcripts\">Unofficial transcripts<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#sop\">Statement of Purpose<\/a> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#resume\">Current resume<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#lor\">2 letters of recommendation<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Official <a href=\"#english\">English language proficiency<\/a> test scores (Non-Native English speaking applicants)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional documents (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please complete all components of the application as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong> The UW Bothell MSECE program does not require the GRE at this time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"application\">1. Application &amp; Paid Fee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/apply.grad.uw.edu\/portal\/gr_app\">Graduate School application<\/a> and pay the application fee. Applications must be completed online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create an applicant profile or log in to an existing applicant profile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a new application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select your application type (choose from the drop down list: Graduate)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8220;<strong>Electrical &amp; Computer Engineering &#8211; Bothell<\/strong>&#8221; from the drop-down list of graduate programs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete application as directed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"transcripts\">2. Unofficial Transcripts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Unofficial transcripts must be uploaded into the online application. Report all post-secondary schools you have attended, even if you did not earn a degree. Applicants will be asked to submit an official hardcopy transcript only if offered admission. Please do not send hardcopy transcript materials until you are asked to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants with degrees from outside the United States must upload detailed official mark sheets (front and back) and official documentation showing degree earned. It is encouraged to include the grading scale\/scheme used if not already listed on the transcript. All documents must be in English, and be the official translation from the institution in which the degree(s) was earned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"sop\">3. Statement of Purpose<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Please limit your response to the following statement to a maximum of 1000 words:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Describe why the Master of Science in Electrical &amp; Computer Engineering is of interest to you and how it will support your scholarly and career goals.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"resume\">4. Current Resume<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Showing relevant work experience or coursework in detail, including any and all information relevant to admission prerequisites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"lor\">5. Letters of Recommendation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A minimum of two recommendations is required. Each recommender will automatically receive an e-mail with instructions on how to submit their letter of recommendation. Professional references may be substituted for academic ones if academic recommenders are unavailable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"english\">6. English Language Proficiency<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Proficiency in English is required for graduate study at the University of Washington as outlined in <a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/policies\/3-2-graduate-school-english-language-proficiency-requirements\/\">Policy 3.2<\/a>. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proficiency for this program can be demonstrated in one of the following ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Information for International Applicants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>International applicants are those who currently hold or expect temporary U.S. Visas, including holders of H1-B, H-4 or any other non-immigrant classifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>U.S. permanent residents (Green Card holders or immigrants) are NOT considered international applicants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International applicants may be required to submit additional documentation, including a statement of financial ability.
