High-impact experiences such as <strong>research<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"\/career-services\/jobs-and-internships\">internships<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/connected-learning\/celr\"><strong>working with local and global communities<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"\/sea\/clubs\"><strong>engaging in student groups<\/strong><\/a>, and <strong><a href=\"\/connected-learning\/global\/abroad\">studying abroad<\/a> <\/strong>can give you the perfect opportunity to connect theoretical science with real-world applications, build a strong r\u00e9sum\u00e9, network with potential future colleagues and employers, and permanently enrich your worldview and sense of self.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Undergraduate research<\/strong> is an essential part of our degree program.  Faculty and students utilize biology laboratory space designed specifically for research and often conduct field studies on the <a href=\"\/wetland\"><strong>North Creek Wetland Restoration<\/strong><\/a>, which lies adjacent to our campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To explore possible research opportunities on the UW Bothell campus and elsewhere, please visit the following pages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/trello.com\/b\/1LQ8HY3Y\/bio-chem-info-board\">Bio &amp; Chem Info Board<\/a> <\/strong>for regularly updated research opportunities we have heard about.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/stem\/faculty\/bs-faculty\"><strong>Biology faculty page<\/strong><\/a> for contact information and to read about each instructor&#8217;s areas of interest.
