These research experiences also help them develop the skills, knowledge, and professional experience needed to succeed in a wide range of biology-related careers and contribute to the future workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Friday Harbor Laboratories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 35%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>In the Department of Biological Sciences, students and faculty have the exciting opportunity to be part of the immersive marine science experience at Friday Harbor Laboratories, a University of Washington satellite campus on San Juan Island.
