{"id":22644,"date":"2022-08-18T18:39:31","date_gmt":"2022-08-18T18:39:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/?p=22644"},"modified":"2024-10-09T16:12:22","modified_gmt":"2024-10-09T23:12:22","slug":"biology","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/stem\/undergraduate\/majors\/biology","title":{"rendered":"Biology"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Bachelor of Science in Biology degree provides students with a foundation that will enable them to pursue careers or graduate study in medicine, dentistry, health professions, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, ecology, biology, and biology education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The curriculum combines theory with hands-on experience that draws on the University of Washington Bothell\u2019s strengths: small classes; strong faculty-student mentorship; integrative, problem-based teaching approaches; and research and internship opportunities outside the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Undergraduate research is an essential part of our degree program.
