{"id":10875,"date":"2018-02-05T17:42:40","date_gmt":"2018-02-05T17:42:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/?p=10875"},"modified":"2025-02-12T09:34:08","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T17:34:08","slug":"prerequisites","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/stem\/graduate\/gcsdd\/admissions\/prerequisites","title":{"rendered":"Prerequisites guide"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admission requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Admission to the Graduate Certificate in Software Design &amp; Development (GCSDD) requires completion of the following prerequisites:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Computer programming 1 &amp; computer programming 2 (or equivalent coursework and\/or in-depth work experience)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>College level calculus <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A regionally accredited bachelor&#8217;s degree (or equivalent international degree) with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the last two years of study<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/stem\/graduate\/gcsdd\/admissions#english\">English language proficiency<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course equivalencies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Equivalent prerequisite courses may be taken at Washington state community and technical colleges, or as an <a href=\"\/admissions\/apply\/other-student-types#non-matriculated\">undergraduate non-matriculated student<\/a> at UW Bothell. For local community and technical college course equivalencies use the UW Seattle equivalencies listed in the table and refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/admit.washington.edu\/apply\/transfer\/equivalency-guide\/\">UW Equivalency Guide<\/a>.
