The University of Washington Bothell School of STEM is thrilled to announce that the upcoming Center for Biotech Innovation and Training (CBIT) has been awarded additional funding from the FY 2022 Omnibus Appropriations Bill.

The intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity is emerging as an important field. With $300,000 National Science Foundation grant funding, Associate Professor Dr. Brent Lagesse in collaboration with Associate Professor Dr. Colleen Lewis from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will research industry needs, barriers to learning, and determine the best ways to prepare the workforce to apply AI to problems in cybersecurity.
