Undergraduate Research Opportunities
There are research opportunities available year round for motivated undergraduate students at UW Bothell and surrounding research locations (e.g., UW Seattle, UW Tacoma, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Friday Harbor Laboratories, etc.).
The UW Bothell Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Practice hosts an Undergraduate Research and Creative Practice Fair once a year (2nd Wednesday in October) where UW Bothell faculty who are actively seeking undergraduate students to work with them have posters describing the research and creative project, the project goals, student responsibilities, student qualifications and project outcomes. After the Fair, the posters are displayed here (see below) for UW Bothell students to browse to find opportunities that best fit their interests.
The UW Seattle Undergraduate Research Program (URP) host a UW-wide database that includes several hundred (these are just some of the projects actively seeking students- not all) of these undergraduate research opportunities. Be sure to check the database periodically, as new opportunities are continually added.
Talk to an adviser for help identifying the best opportunity fit for you. Advisers are available to assist you with applying to opportunities and can also help you to identify research opportunities that are not on UWB posters or in the UW-database.
