Follow the links under each quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The student number priority is changed each quarter so that all students have the earliest possible priority every other quarter. One half of the available spaces in each course are reserved for day two of each priority period. If a registration message states that the first day spaces are filled, then the other half will be released on day two of that priority period. Students may register using&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/register.uw.edu\/register\/\">Register.UW<\/a>&nbsp;on, or after, their registration date and make changes to their schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"reg-2\"><a><\/a>Registration Period II<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Opens at Midnight, except for new students, who may register at 8:30 am (PST)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applies to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Newly admitted students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Returning former students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Notices of registration dates are emailed to newly admitted or re-admitted students. Students may register on or after the assigned&nbsp;date. Period I students may also register anytime during Period II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"reg-3\"><a><\/a>Registration Period III<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Opens at Midnight<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applies to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Non-Matriculated Students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All students&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This period is from the first day of the quarter through the 7th calendar day of the quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"reg-late\"><a><\/a>Registration Late-Add Period<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applies to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All students&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All courses added during this period require an Entry Code or Faculty Number. A $20 change of registration fee will be charged for all registration changes made on a single day during this period.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"late-add-petition\">Late Add Petition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uw.kualibuild.com\/app\/6759d35b1c5bb5014fab2581\/run\">Late Add Petition<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is available after the Late Add Period has ended (last day to add a course through Register.UW) and remains open through the last day of each quarter. Please note: The Late Add Petition is for UW Bothell tuition-based students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"no-fee-drop-period\"><a><\/a>No-Fee Unrestricted Drop Period<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applies to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Registration Period I &#8211; Registration Period III<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Courses may be dropped without restriction from the first day of Registration Period I through the 7th calendar day of the quarter (Period III). No record of the dropped course(s) will be recorded on the transcript.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"drop-period\"><a><\/a>Unrestricted Drop Period<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applies to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>8th &#8211; 14th calendar day of the quarter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This period is from the 8th calendar day of the quarter through the 14th calendar day of the quarter. Courses may be dropped without restriction during this period. No record of the dropped course(s) will be recorded on the transcript. There is a $20 Change of Registration Fee and a&nbsp;<a href=\"\/tuition-fees\/withdrawals-and-forfeitures\">tuition forfeiture<\/a>&nbsp;may be charged for all registration changes made on a single day during this period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"late-drop\"><a><\/a>Late-Course Drop Period<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applies to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After 14th calendar day of the quarter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each quarter students may drop one class between Week 3 and the last day of instruction using Register.UW. Then, in order to drop additional classes between Week 3 and the last day of instruction, students will use the <a href=\"https:\/\/registrar.washington.edu\/drop-withdraw\/current-quarter-drop\/cqd-form\/\">Adviser Assisted Drop Request form<\/a> <strong>(The Adviser Assisted Drop Request Form closes at 5 pm on the deadline day, each quarter)<\/strong>.
