Instructor: Carrie Bodle
This class introduces students to the role of art in public space. Each week students read, viewed, and discussed public art projects. Throughout the quarter, they visited multiple public art sites. Students were challenged to frame responses to current discourse in public art and to examine the intersections and contradictions on the role of the artist and public perception.
Art Walk and Students' Projects Presentation
On March 15, Chancellor Chan, CUSP Director Leslie Ashbaugh, CUSP Faculty Gary Carpenter along with students from BCUSP 191 took part in the Art Walk from the Promenade to UWBB where they enjoyed students presentations about how to improve UW Bothell. The event was a great success thanks to Carolyn Bodle, BCUSP 191 faculty and the great efforts of her students. Below are some pictures from the event.
Students use IPEDS on the North Creek Trail and visit the Blue Trees project nearby UW Bothell on the Burke Gilman trail.
