Applications for the Orientation Leader position have closed and will reopen in November 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Position Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Orientation Leaders (OLs) are student leaders within the office of Orientation and Transition Programs. OLs aid in the facilitation and transition of all new students through the varying Advising & Orientation programs. They represent UW Bothell and welcome new members of the UW Bothell community, including first-year students, transfer students, and their supporters. Successful OL candidates must exhibit husky spirit, leadership qualities, and be team oriented. They must also be passionate about helping others, dedicated to OTP\u2019s mission to help incoming students, and possess a desire to develop their own leadership potential. Students must be available to work in person throughout Summer 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Take BCUSP 203 in Spring 2026 (M\/W 5:45-7:45 pm in person)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Attend all trainings, retreat, and mandatory orientation dates <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Attend and actively participate in all orientation programming<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Work closely with OTP staff, other student staff, and campus partners<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Acquaint new students and their families with campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Facilitate small group interactions and campus tour<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Facilitate and present in front of large groups at Orientation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Represent UW Bothell in a positive and professional manner<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Promote Husky spirit with enthusiasm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

        Timeline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        This position will begin in Spring Quarter 2026 and will last until the start of Fall Quarter 2026. Orientation Leaders also need to be available to assist with Winter Advising & Orientation in December 2026 and Spring Advising & Orientation in March\/April of 2027. OLs must take BCUSP 203 in spring quarter (M\/W 5:45-7:45pm). Students must also be able to attend all training sessions and be available to work up to 10-15 hours a week throughout the school year, and 30-40 hours during the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
