Orientation Leader

Hi! My name is Tommy and I am a sophomore and pre-major. I grew up in Tukwila, Washington and still go back since my family still lives there. I love this campus because it is such an open place to learn about new things and perspectives to open your mind up to. I am an Academic Transition Program student which is a program that selects students who are low-income and first year students (first in family) to come and get adjusted to college life. Since I am a pre-major, I want to study Interactive Media Design because I believe that technology and design is a great way to engage attention.

Outside of classes I have many different hobbies. I love playing sports and being active especially playing basketball going hiking and weightlifting. I also enjoy being outdoors because being in nature helps me relieve stress. I like writing poetry and music as well and have been doing so for many years. I find writing poetry and music as a way to give insight into my life.

With that being said, I am very excited to be meet everyone! I am more than ecstatic to be an Orientation Leader because I love meeting new people and I want to help make your first year in college be as fun and helpful as it was for me!
