My name is Kimna Tang and I am incredibly happy and honored to be one of your orientation leaders for 2017-2018. My goal is to support you all in transitioning into UWB, both academically and personally.
Before UWB, I was a running start student at Bellevue College. This is my fourth year, majoring in Media & Communications and minoring in Visual & Media Arts through the Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences program. The genuine connection that I have is what I love most about UWB, not just with classmates but with professors as well. Classes are kept at a good size where it is so much easier to have discussions and group work. I am involved in Khmer Student Associations (KHSA) at UW Seattle campus (yes you can join clubs and organizations at different campuses!).
I have been in Washington state for the past 5 years but originally from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Other than spending most of my time at school and work, I can be a homebody. I could stay home all day and do nothing. But when I do go outside, my favorite thing to do is to travel and learn about different values and cultures.
I love sharing information so please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns (I respond really quickly).
Welcome to UWB, I’ll see you on campus!!
