My name is Autumn Capper and I am so excited to welcome you to UW Bothell as a PAC Lead! I am a junior majoring in Biology, and plan on attending medical school to become a pediatric oncologist. I am originally from Michigan, but lived in Kentucky for most of my life before moving to Washington five years ago. Since then, I have settled down in Woodinville, Washington. I attended four high schools, and know how nerve-wracking transitions can be. I’m here to help make your transition into college as smooth and enjoyable as possible!
On campus, I work as a Peer Facilitator for the General Chemistry course series. Over at UW Seattle, I spend my time playing trumpet with the University of Washington Husky Marching Band! I’m also a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, which is an honorary co-ed band fraternity located at UW Seattle. Recently, I had the opportunity to spend a week shadowing healthcare professionals in Tonasket, Washington through the UW’s Healthcare Alternative Spring Break program. Outside of UW Bothell, I spend time volunteering as a Reader in the Reach Out and Read program at Seattle Children’s. When I’m not busy, I love to spend my free time reading, baking, and spending time with my family and my adorable black lab.
I chose to go to UW Bothell for its small class sizes, closeness to home, and gorgeous campus. The campus is close-knit, which makes it easier to make friends and form study groups. UW Bothell has a large amount of student organizations and clubs you can join, which allows every student to find their place. Getting involved early will help you feel more comfortable around campus and can help you make friends!
I can't wait to meet and work with all of you, please feel free to reach out as you begin your transition into college!
