Hi my name is Viola Tabares, and welcome to UW Bothell!! I’m currently a Sophomore hoping to have a major in education. I’m really passionate about education and the education system and I hope to one day be a school principal and then become the superintendent for education.
My whole life I have lived in Washington and specifically in Seattle. Before college, I went to Roosevelt High school and gained lots of experience being in a place very different from what I was used to.
I decided to go to UW Bothell because for me I really wanted to get to know my professors. UWB had small class sizes so I knew I would be getting the one-on-one connection with teachers and the students. I was also really drawn to apartment style dorms on campus. What I also liked a lot about UWB was how many clubs and organizations there were for people to easily be a part of. Being at UWB, I love living on campus and gaining a new independence.
On campus, I’m involved with LSU, Latinxs Student Union. You can also find me studying in the library. Outside of campus I love going out dancing with friends or reading a good book. I also enjoy making yummy treats and trying to cook new foods.
I look forward to seeing you on campus and help you any time you want! Let me know if you have any questions!
