Hi there Huskies!
My name is Samantha Penjaraenwatana, and I am a fourth year student at UWB. I grew up in California and Thailand, and moved to Washington when I was eleven years old.
I am currently majoring in Community Psychology with a minor in Education and Society. I have a passion for working with children, and would LOVE to be a first grade teacher. I have worked at a children’s museum and a preschool, where I was able to figure out that working with children makes me the happiest.
I like to watch football games (especially the Hawks), play volleyball, and am always interested in learning other sports. In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, drink Starbucks, go on walks with my puppy, act as a tourist in Seattle, and go to meet and greet Seahawks players with my brother. I also like to bake, and would love to learn how to cook different kinds of food. In the past, I have been involved with many different volunteer opportunities through the Community-Based Learning and Research (CBLR) on campus where I was able to use what I learned in class and apply it to the community. I have also been involved in Intramural Soccer with my fellow Orientation Leaders, and did my first Husky 5K run last Spring!
If you have any questions on how you can be involved on campus, feel free to ask! I can’t wait to meet each and every one of you, and am excited for all the fun adventures and experiences we will share with one another! Go Dawgs!
